T.H.P.B.C (Toronto High Park Bicycle Club) is hosting their 2nd Annual Cuba Cycling Event November 22 – 29, 2014, Staying at Playa Pesquero Resort (4½ star All-inclusive resort), located at Pesquero beach in the province of Holguin, Cuba. There will be daily cycling excursions to explore the beautiful white sand beaches, turquoise waters and picturesque landscape. Daily cycling excursions will leave directly from the hotel each morning, ranging in distance 30-70km’s/a day, pace 15-25km/hour, with sufficient breaks, and leaving time to enjoy the hotel amenities as well.
Bikes while in Cuba: You can either bring your own bike or you may have an opportunity to use a bike at no cost while in Cuba through an organization called Bikes for Cuba (www.bikesforcuba.com). This organization will work closely with T.H.P.B.C, receiving donated bikes and packing in proper travel boxes, you would transport the bike to Cuba, have use of the bike in Cuba, and at the end of your stay the bike would be donated to the Cuban cycling team. Some airlines charge $30 a bike while most offer free transport for donated bikes.

Additional Costs:
- $10.00/per day for bike ride excursions for Cuban Ride Leaders
- $10.00/person to transport the bikes to the resort
- $20/person to pay for the Cuban ride leaders nearby accommodations (optional tips)
- $20.00 Visa fee/person at the airport upon departure
- Optional tours and Spending money
Non-members are welcome to join the T.H.P.B.C. (Toronto High Park Bicycling Club), but will need to sign a waiver prior to participating in any ride.
